What do I say when people ask me “what is it that you do?”
I help fix the areas in your life that you feel are failing.
I
like to describe what I do and the problems I help fix just like a
small table. You know the coffee table you have in your house? You know
how it has 4 legs holding it up? What if you removed a leg? It would undoubtedly get quite wobbly. Things would fall off the top – and it becomes unstable and unreliable. Take out another leg
(down to 2 now) and it is pretty well unusable. You can temporarily
shove a couple things underneath it to keep it level on the surface –
but never rely on it and never put something heavy on it. Remove
another leg and it is unusable.
Much like your life.
If
you have all 4 legs in perfect shape in the right places – life ticks
along just as it should. But you start removing or unbalancing one or
more of the legs and it gets unbalanced, dangerous, unreliable and in
serious need of immediate repair.
Some
people attempt the quick fix approach and wedge a few quick
fixer-uppers underneath it – they read some books, listen to a tape or
two, maybe even go to a live seminar – but it never fixes the
underlying problem!
Which is why the problem keeps coming back
month after month, year after year.
I
help you repair and remove any issues that are causing you unbalance in
your life. Be it your health, your happiness, your wealth or your
confidence – they all need to be working properly to go about a
fulfilled life.
Right?
How many legs on your ‘table’ are missing or in need of repair?
The more there are, the faster you need to get them fixed.
I
look at my clients holistically, that is, taking into consideration all
aspects of their lives including their physical health. My approach to
therapy is based on my firm belief that we are made up of body, mind, and spirit.
All three aspects need to be working in harmony to achieve balance.
There are many studies which show spiritual and nutritional factors
directly bear on our mental health.
I often include life coaching
with the therapy, to help people not only feel better about themselves
but then to move forward and actually realize their goals, whether
that's a new relationship, a more balanced life or job success.
I LOVE
this work, watching my clients discover the feeling of freedom and joy
that comes with letting go of old hurts and pains and finding new ways
of interacting with the world. I aim to provide an opportunity for
people to grow and heal, in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and
nurturing environment. Planning For Your Session
To ensure the greatest benefit from our time together,
please arrange your Steppingstone Session so that your time afterwards
is open, allowing yourself the freedom to choose whatever activity
feels best to you at that time. Please consider these hours afterwards
as an important part of this renewal experience. Our time together generally averages 1-1.5 hrs.
Some sessions may complete themselves sooner, and others may run a bit
longer. The duration is determined by the natural flow of our process
as it evolves that day, not by arbitrary predetermined limits. If
unforeseen time constraints do arise for you, however, please mention
them at the beginning of the session and we will adjust our work
accordingly.
After your Free 20-minute session,
you may decide to continue our work together. If so, sign up for a
series of 4 additional sessions at intervals appropriate to your
personal situation. I ask that you pay for all of your sessions at the
first session. This encourages you to make the commitment to the
changes you'd like.
Continuing our work together
The
first session is an introduction, a getting-to-know each other. In
succeeding sessions the work becomes more focused. As our work together
evolves, you learn to become more skillful in receiving exactly what
you need, creating the most relaxing and freeing experience possible. Steppingstone Sessions
are offered on a regular ongoing basis. Clients initially book a
minimum of four sessions to experience first-hand the many benefits of
my unique zero-will-power program.
Steppingstone Sessions
are often described as a meditation-in-relationship, where feelings and
thoughts are allowed to surface and become known, with the
corresponding relaxation and release in the body. A session is as
varied as the individuals that choose to experience this type of work.
The name Steppingstone
refers to this experience as one of many supports on your path to
deeper freedom and wisdom. Each session is another steppingstone across
the river of limitation, leading to the shores of peace and joy within. |
Cancellation Policy
All
services are available by appointment only. I ask that you pay for all
of your sessions at the first session. This encourages you to make the
commitment to the changes you'd like. If you need to cancel or
reschedule your session, kindly give 24 hours notice. Whether it’s a
spontaneous weekend away or a flu bug, a 24-hour cancellation is
required. I do my best to fill these openings – just like you, I’d much
prefer to have another client take your place than charge you for a
cancellation.
Clients
who book appointments and who cannot join me for their scheduled time
or notify me to cancel their appointment within the 24 hour
cancellation period will have their missed appointment count as a used
session.
Steppingstone Referral Program
Almost
every therapist gets the majority of their clients from word of mouth.
Word of mouth is the best marketing I have working for me.
It is worth repeating that every study I have seen shows that over 55% of new clients come from a referral.
Every time one of your family members, friends or colleagues goes for
to a therapist/coach without a referral they are taking risks.
- They are risking that the therapist/coach will not be good.
- They are risking being uncomfortable.
- They are risking a sizable bit of money.
- They are risking wasting their time.
- They
are risking not going at all because of this discomfort, and that is a
huge risk, because it may mean they don’t get the help they need.
Getting a referral from an existing client like you reduces or solves all of these problems and more.
It
is true for many, many people, that going to a therapist/coach the
first time without a referral can be an uncomfortable experience. Yes,
there are a few bold people who are not bothered by such things, but
the majority of people are.
My primary motivation for encouraging you to send me your referrals for my unique Zero-Will-Power Program is to help solve all of these problems for your friends, family and co-workers.
That’s why I am asking you to start sending me your referrals so that together we can to help your family and friends and co-workers avoid these problems.
I
don't ever want one of your friends or family to have that negative
experience. As a valued client of mine, I expect you to help solve
these problems for other people. Your job as my client is to keep your ears open for the opportunity to solve this problem. And keep your ears open for people who have physical and or emotional problems that I can help solve as well.
I believe in this so strongly, that I am are going to reward your generously
for doing the good deed of referring someone to me. Every time you
refer a new client to me, you will get a free upgrade to an extra 15
minutes on your normal session. Refer three new clients and you will receive a free 30 minutes on your next full 90-minute session. I will keep careful track of this for you.
And
another reason that I want referrals is because if I have to spend less
time and money on marketing, I can put more back into improved services
for my clients.
And
to make it all work smooth please I have made it very easy for your
friends and family to try me the first time. I am willing to give
them a discount for their first treatment. And also, make it easy for
you to offer these discounts to your friends, and look good doing it.
Every time you receive a session I will give you three business cards
that you can give to your friends. When the three cards have been
redeemed, you will receive a FREE 30 minutes on your next full 90-minute session. Isn’t that easy?
There are no strings attached and absolutely no-obligation
for them to use my services again. They’ll be treated to a session of
their choice...while you get to look good and I get the opportunity to
expand my practice. That way everybody wins! Don’t you agree?
If
I have made a huge difference in your life then I would be very
grateful if you would refer your friends and loved ones to me also. It
makes me feel good and I know it will make you feel good too. I know
you like helping other people. Besides, it makes you look good when
your friend has a wonderful experience with me too. And every time you refer someone to me, you are making a commitment to your own health. This reinforces your own desire to use my services, but sometimes you just need a small reminder.
PS. I thought you might enjoy the Rules for Being Human from John Templeton’s Laws of Life.
You will learn lessons.
We are all enrolled in a full time school called “life on planet Earth.”
Every person and incident is your teacher.
There are no mistakes – only lessons.
“Failures” are the stepping stones to “success”.
A lesson is repeated until learned.
It is presented in various forms until you learn it – then you go to the next lesson.
If you don’t learn easy lessons, they get harder.
Pain is one way the universe gets your attention.
You’ll know you have learned a lesson when your actions change.
Only action turns knowledge into wisdom.
“There” is no better than “here”.
When “there” becomes “here”, you’ll find another “there” that again looks better than “here”.
Others are only mirrors.
You can only love or hate something in another that reflects
something you love or hate in yourself.
Your life is up to you.
Life provides a canvas: you do the painting.
Your answers lie inside you.
All you need to do is look, listen and trust.
You’ll tend to forget all this.
You can remember anytime you wish.
